Bird on a Post

Not a very original post title but it's all I could think of.
This guy must have been standing guard over a nest because he wouldn't leave his post ( no pun intended) for hours on end. He'd only do so to chase intruders away and then fly right back to stand guard again.

Found this little visitor in a tree in my backyard hiding from a few pesky birds. He didn't seem scared of them but they certainly had no intention of leaving this buy alone.

My Jojo

This is a shot of my darling little granddaughter Jojo, resting on Grandma and Grandpa's sofa. She's as cute as her mother and grandmother.

Jay

Meet Jay,
This fella lives in England but came to our corner of the world to visit relatives. Namely my daughter and her family.
He was quite a ham in front of the camera. Certainly a well behaved young man, but by the look on his face in this shot...I suspect he knows how to get in a bit of trouble!

Sometimes a reluctant model, mind you, but thats what happens when you marry a photographer!

Kiki the Kat

My little friend Kiki the Kat doesn't like the camera much, so I have to sneak a shot in now and then when she's not paying attention...
and as cat lovers will know...it's not very often they're not paying attention.

Race Car

A good friend of mine has an interesting hobby. He races cars for fun. A few weeks ago I met up with him in his shop and captured a couple of shots of one of his prize cars.

Early Morning Ocean

On a recent trip south I had the opportunity to spend an early morning with the birds along the Atlantic coastline. It sure helps put the human race in perspective. We may rule the planet...but we don't own it.
At that moment I don't think I could have found a more peaceful place on earth....
