Detroit Skyline

We finally have a few nice days here and there. I think spring really is on it's way...not soon enough.
A few days ago I took a walk along the river and captured this image. Didn't like it much as first but each time I looked at it I liked it a little more. Nice to see Detroit looking so bright and clean for a change.
And yes...the RenCen is intentionally missing from this shot. Seems every skyline photo of Detroit has the RenCen as the focal point. Not this time.

Here's a shot I took the other day that I thought looked kinda cool in black & white.
I've been playing with a more "artsy" style lately. Sometimes it works and sometimes...well not so much. I think this one worked! This is a style I plan to explore more.

I'm not a big "still life" fan, but thought I'd give it a try.
This shot was taken with a very slow shutter speed and because of that has a lot of "noise" in the picture. It's not too bad at low resolutions, but I can't enlarge it much. Too bad!
Any thoughts?

Tattoo

There was a time when I thought tattoos were something that should only be on veterans and sailors. Souvenirs from distant shores. Nowadays this body art seems to be more common place than ear rings!
That's okay. I've come around and now admire a well done "tat" as I understand they are known to those speaking the hip dialect.
Here's a shot I recently took of a young lady very dear to me.
